Collection: Beauvais Tapestry Manufactory

From the 17th century through the French Revolution, Manufacture Royale de Beauvais (Beauvais Tapestry Manufactory) wove stunning tapestries for European elites and royals. The tapestries were based on large oil sketches, called cartoons, prepared by great artists of the day including François Boucher, Charles-Joseph Natoire, and even earlier designs by Raphael.
