American dancer and choreographer Bill T. Jones (b. 1952) cofounded the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company in 1982 with his partner, Arnie Zane (1948 - 1988). He trained in dance and theatre at the State University of New York, Binghamton. His works are often explicit references to social and political issues. His controversial and acclaimed Still/Here addressed the personal toll of HIV, with which Jones is infected and which caused Zane's death.
