Changshi Gui

Gui Changshi (1574-1645) began to compose poetry at the young age of ten. Enamored of the classics, he decide to study art and literature rather than working to become a civil servant as was expected of him. Gui was renowned for his lyrical ability with both words and brush, leading to his great skill at poetry, calligraphy, and painting.
