Collection: Greene & Greene

Much like their contemporary, Frank Lloyd Wright, Charles (1868-1957) and Henry (1870-1954) Greene manifested the Arts & Crafts style holistically throughout their designed works rather than considering each piece a separate component. As Midwestern transplants, Greene & Greene designed remarkable residential structures in California during the first decades of the 20th century. Their work fell into relative obscurity for a time, and their influence and importance to the Arts & Crafts movement was rediscovered only later in their lives.
