Lourdes Grobet

Lourdes Grobet (b. 1940), a Mexican of French descent, grew up watching wrestling on television. While her father wouldn't allow her to attend matches as a child, she was drawn to capturing the art and history of Mexican wrestling through photography. She studied at the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico and Cardiff College of Art and Derby College in England. She has published numerous books featuring her photographs.
