Collection: Massimo Vitali
Italian photographer Massimo Vitali (b. 1944) began his career as a
photojournalist in the 1960s. He moved on to work as a film cameraman in
the 1980s. It was in the 1990s that he turned his attention to art
photography, and more specifically to capturing the leisure pursuits of his
countrymen. Photographing large groups of people on Italian beaches, discos
and other public spaces, he catches a moment as well as a feeling. His
works have been included in solo and group exhibitions around the world.
