Collection: Qiu Zhijie
Qiu Zhijie (b. 1969) is a Beijing-based interdisciplinary artist working in a wide range of visual media. His works often create an artistic integration of visual arts, literature, and performance art. He is known for his provocative experiments involving his own image and Chinese calligraphy, integrating written language with photography. Zhijie also writes about and curates exhibitions, projects which give him the ability and willingness to explore new forms of art outside that which is usually accepted. These experimentations with new forms led to his founding the Integrated Art Studio at the China Academy of Art. In addition to his work as an artist, critic and curator, he is currently a professor at Zhejiang Academy of Art.
